CARNIVAL OF THE NEARLY EXTINCT ANIMALS
Music. Dance. Puppetry. Conservation.
Carnival of the Nearly Extinct Animals is a one-of-a-kind performance that combines music, dance, puppetry and storytelling to celebrate endangered animals from across the world.
Experience new choreography by John Heginbotham, dancers of Dance Heginbotham and Ballet Hawai'i, musicians of Ocean Music Action, and larger-than-life animal puppets by Greg Corbino. This theatrical, 80-minute concert experience features Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens arranged by Mike Atkinson, and Carnival of the Nearly Extinct Animals by NYC-based composer Stephanie Ann Boyd. Moses Goods weaves poetry and storytelling throughout the performance, and artwork by local keiki is on display before the show.
Carnival of the Nearly Extinct Animals is a joyful celebration of the natural world, bringing together world-class visiting artists and leading local creatives for an unforgettable performance.
